About the role…

Are you ready to play a pivotal role in safeguarding and evolving a modern digital infrastructure? As a Technical Services Engineer, you’ll operate at a 3rd line support level within our Transformation and Technology Team, ensuring the resilience and security of our network and cyber infrastructure. You’ll lead on the design, deployment, and documentation of secure network and cyber solutions, supporting both on-premise and cloud-based environments.

This is a dynamic opportunity to work at the forefront of cyber defence and network innovation, contributing to the delivery of a secure, efficient, and forward-thinking council. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to help shape the future of Gloucester’s digital service

 

What we need from you

We’re looking for a technically skilled and proactive individual with a strong background in network and cyber security. You’ll need experience with technologies such as Cisco, Windows OS, and Office 365, and a solid understanding of cyber threats and secure deployment practices. Your ability to evaluate, triage, and resolve complex issues will be key.

You’ll also bring excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to a range of audiences. A relevant vocational qualification (NVQ Level 4 or equivalent) and a full UK driving licence are essential. If you’re passionate about Cyber Security and Network architecture and support, we’d love to hear from you.
