About the role
Gloucester City Council own and operate a very diverse commercial portfolio consisting of community centres, retail parks, open spaces, shopping centres, scheduled monuments, cultural building including the City Museum and guildhall, the newly developed Forum estate and some of the countries most intersting Grade I and II listed buidlings. The property portfolio underpins everything we do here at the council and we support every department in the delivery of their services by ensuring the portfolio is fit for purpose and managed to a high standard. As a part of the Asset Management team you will also play a part of the corporate health and safety function within the council.
Your responsibilities
- Conducting estate surveys and evaluations
- Understanding and identifying when specialist contractors need to be employed and overseeing those operations
- Leasing will play a large part of the role
- Negotiation leases and tenancy agreements both renewals and new tenancies
- Experience of retail property transcation and service charge management would be advantageous
- Ensuring complaince with property regulations
- All aspects of Landlord and Tenants
- Understanding of local authority peropty regulations
- Collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders
Qualifications
- A relevnt degree or professional surveying qualificaiton
- Strong communicaion and negotiation skills
