About -

We are looking for an experienced operations expert to be part of the Visitor Experience management team with a particular focus on delivering great experiences to all our visitors. A visible leader with strong people management and organisational skills, the Senior Operations Officer will lead a team of venue team leaders, volunteers, and contractors to deliver a world-class visitor experience. You will have the ability to manage multiples priorities across multiple sites, inspire trust and take personal responsibility for a well organised operation that delivers results swiftly, matching resources to business priorities. Your focus will be providing an exceptional experience to all visitors focusing on presentation, safety, and security. You will oversee programme delivery within Gloucester Guildhall, Blackfriars Priory and the Museum of Gloucester ensuring that the venues are operating successfully as a combined cultural offer. You will identify opportunities for growth and will use cross service efficiencies to support service budgets. You will ensure open and clear communication between departments therefore providing a seamless offer to the visitor. Due to the nature of the cultural industry, this role isn’t your typical 9-5 role, some venues open later into the evening and over weekends and it is therefore expected that this role will support the wider activity of the three venues.
