About the Role
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals? Do you have experience in housing, homelessness, or tenancy support? Gloucester City Council is currently seeking 2 dedicated Rough Sleepers Intervention Housing Officers to join our busy organisation and multifaceted housing services team dedicated to helping those in housing need.
In this vital role, you’ll work directly with individuals who are rough sleeping, as part of a team that works flexibly ensuring that the homeless service is delivered effectively, efficiently and customer focused
What we need from you:
You will need to demonstrate practical knowledge and have an understanding of housing and homelessness, to develop effective working relationships with a wide range of key stakeholders in the statutory and voluntary sector agencies to enable a planned move on from the streets, and or supported accommodation.
Have experience of undertaking homeless reduction act (HRA) case work with vulnerable clients. Working within a trauma-informed approach and have skills in working with clients who are resistant to change and/or find it difficult to engage.

Rough Sleepers Intervention Housing Officer Job Description
