About the role

Come and work for a rewarding organisation, joining our small exceptional environmental services team where you will manage the core services, waste,collection, recycling collection, street cleansing and you will be the lead officerfor the parks and grounds service.  The service is high profile touching every resident of Gloucester and you will work closely with residents, Councillors and our strategic partner Ubico to deliver cost effective services which make a difference to the lives of Gloucester residents. 

 

What we need from you

You will need to demonstrate that you have extensive experience of managing complex projects, working with communities and other stakeholders, developing strategy and policy and have an in depth knowledge of landscape and urban design. You will have experience of identifying and applying for internal and external funding and managing staff and budgets. You should also have experience of managing multi service contracts in a local authority environment. We are looking for an ambitious individual and the authority would be willing to support the right person to further develop their career in local government.
