About the role
Are you passionate about the arts, love helping people and thrive in a fast-paced environment? Gloucester Guildhall is looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our Box Office team on a casual basis.
In the heart of the city, Gloucester Guildhall is a vibrant venue, home to an impressive programme of music, comedy, film, and theatre. As well as our 400-capacity main hall where we host our live music, we have a beautiful 60 seat cinema, multiple meeting and conference spaces and a bar which is always in demand with a sell-out gig.
As a Box Office Assistant, you’ll be the welcoming face of Gloucester Guildhall, supporting our programming and marketing teams to deliver an exceptional visitor experience. From selling tickets and managing bookings, to assisting with event setup and customer enquiries, you’ll play a vital role in the smooth running of our cultural venue. There is also occasions where the Box Office leaves the four walls of Gloucester Guildhall to support other city-wide events - a great opportunity to get involved and be part of the delivery team.
What we need from you
You will bring enthusiasm, top notch customer service and most of all, you will be friendly and approachable. You will be confident in using computer systems, quick to learn new tools, and stay calm under pressure - especially during busy show times. What really matters is that you are willing to go the extra mile to ensure every visitor has a great experience.
We have a busy year ahead so if you want the flexibility of working shifts to suit your own personal calendar but also keen to gain experience of working in an events industry, then we would welcome your application to join our team.
We pay £12.45 per hour and you will receive holiday pay on a quarterly basis based on the number of hours you have work.
