We have an exciting opportunity to join the Gloucestershire Housing Partnership team, based at Gloucester City Council, to play a key role to coordinate work across a number of participating local authorities in Gloucestershire to achieve Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance accreditation.
You will work collaboratively with our strategic partners and stakeholders, including Gloucestershire’s six District Councils, Gloucestershire County Council; Gloucestershire’s Integrated Care Board and the Office for Police and Crime Commissioner.
You will be joining a team who work creatively to overcome barriers with a view to ensuring individuals can have and maintain settled, sustainable, and safe homes. Whilst the role is located within the Housing Partnership Team, you will be co-located within the participating local authorities to enable you to be immersed in the organisations undertaking the accreditation.
About the Role
As Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance Project Coordinator, your work will help to deliver the priorities and objectives of Gloucestershire Domestic Abuse Strategy. You will project manage the DAHA accreditation process and engage with the wider partnership to ensure the accreditation is achieved.
You will influence local authority responses to domestic abuse to ensure systems and procedures are effective and survivor led. The role is funded for 24 months, however the contract term being offered is for an initial period of 20 months due to Local Government Reorganisation taking place in April 2028.
About You
We are seeking an individual who has an understanding of the impact of domestic abuse on individual victims, their families and the community as a whole, including a range of housing related issues likely to affect households experiencing domestic abuse. Ideally, you will be a collaborative professional with an ability to build effective working relationships to influence change.
You will readily share knowledge and actively seek out opportunities to work with colleagues and stakeholders to develop ideas and solutions to improve services.
You will have excellent communication skills and experience of managing projects and working to deadlines. We welcome applications from applicants with lived experience of homelessness, DA or refugee.
