Gloucester City Council is an ambitious council with big ideas following our Together Gloucester Transformation Programme; we are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our newly relocated Customer Service Team.

 

As part of a dedicated, multi-skilled team this post involves dealing with customers by telephone and face to face as well as managing digital and written communication, covering a range of enquires. In addition we want you to be at the heart of a project that aims to enable our residents to interact with us via modern and effective channels.

 

The role is centred on the community which requires the applicant to find working with the public stimulating. It is essential that you have: customer care experience; good IT skills and an awareness of social media; experience of working within a customer facing role; dealing with multiple, complex enquiries; and working to deadlines under pressure. The position requires a positive individual who is willing to adapt to a developing role that is the face of a transitioning council.

 

The successful candidate(s) will work Monday to Friday during the Customer Services core hours of 9am to 5pm.

 

The candidate should have 3 C grade GCSEs (or equivalent) or relevant experience within a Customer Service sector.
