Gloucestershire Hospital Education Service (GHES) is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring, creative and highly motivated Teaching Assistant from January 2023.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an outstanding team of teachers and support staff who work with students from across the county who are too ill to attend their main school but do not need to be in hospital.

This is initially a fixed term contract until 31/08/23 but with a view to being extended if successful.  This is a term time only position and the salary will be pro rata.

We are hoping that the successful candidate will work alongside our teachers in small groups within the classroom or on their own to support students coming into the classroom in Cheltenham initially for Art, Arts Award and PSHE, although support will be required for other subjects.

This is a great opportunity for an individual, with a commitment to supporting vulnerable young people, to ensure that despite the illness and challenges they face, they thrive and continue to love learning.

Only online application forms will be accepted for this role, please do not send in CVs.
