Kickstart Scheme

The Government’s Kickstart Scheme provides funding to employers to create jobs for 16 to 24 year olds on Universal Credit and who are at risk of long term unemployment. If you are a young person aged 16 to 24, unemployed, claiming Universal Credit and feel you would benefit from earning money and learning new skills, we have over 350 opportunities in Gloucestershire that could be right for you.

We have brought together over 50 employers to offer young people the opportunity to develop their employability skills in real workplaces such as:

  • Administration
  • Construction
  • Marketing and social media
  • Public sector
  • Education
  • Voluntary sector
