About the Team and Role

We are excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for a full-time permanent Advisory Teacher specialising in Communication & Interaction (including autism) within our Advisory Teaching Service. This role is pivotal in fostering inclusive practices and enhancing the capabilities of schools and educational settings to support children and young people (CYP) with Communication & Interaction (C&I) needs. You will provide holistic advice, training, and support to ensure learners achieve their full potential and attain positive outcomes. Additionally, you will work directly with the workforce supporting CYP with C&I needs (ages 0-25), enabling them to participate in educational activities alongside their peers as independently as possible.

About Us

Our team is dedicated to improving the educational experiences and outcomes for children and young people in Gloucestershire. We are committed to supporting schools in implementing inclusive policies and practices, ensuring that every learner has the opportunity to succeed. By joining us, you will be part of a passionate group of professionals who are making a real difference in the lives of students with additional needs.

About You

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional who is deeply passionate about inclusive education. As an Advisory Teacher, you will play a crucial role in advising educational settings to enhance the progress and outcomes of Gloucestershire's children and young people with Communication & Interaction (C&I) and other additional needs. You will assist school staff in implementing Gloucestershire’s Graduated Pathway in accordance with the SEN Code of Practice, providing valuable guidance on inclusive policies, practices, teaching strategies, interventions, and resources. Additionally, you will contribute to a graduated response to the needs of children and young people, setting appropriate outcomes that may inform the statutory assessment process.

If you are dedicated to making a positive impact and have the expertise to support inclusive education, we would love to hear from you!
