About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Gloucestershire County Council as a Social Value Apprentice within the Employment and Skills team, part of the Environment, Education and Infrastructure Directorate. 

In this role, you’ll help us make sure the Council’s contracts deliver real benefits for local communities. This includes supporting work with suppliers and partners to create opportunities such as jobs, support for community projects, and environmental initiatives. 

You’ll gain experience working with a wide range of colleagues, including commissioning, procurement and contract management teams, as well as local businesses and community organisations. This is a varied and impactful role where you can see the difference your work makes. 

Alongside your day-to-day role, you’ll study towards the Level 4 Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability Practitioner apprenticeship. You’ll also receive free affiliate membership of the Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals while studying, giving you a strong foundation for a career in sustainability. 

 

 

About you 

This role is ideal for someone with a genuine interest in sustainability and social impact who is keen to learn and build their career in the public sector. 

We’re looking for someone who is organised, motivated and creative, with good communication skills and a desire to make a positive difference in local communities.
