This Outcome Manager role will support the Head of Service (Integrated Placements Commissioning) in ensuring delivery of an accountable, efficient and responsive placements service. The role is within the placements team and will consider requests from Social Work teams in respect of placement searches for Looked After Children.

 

This role will assist in the coordination, planning and operation of specific multi professional decision-making panels to assist in the overall commissioning process. As an Outcome Manager you will also have the opportunity to lead and collaborate on a number of projects to support the work of the integrated commissioning hub.  This role actively supports our ‘sufficiency’ strategy to provide good quality placements and pathways of support for our children in care.  This is a demanding role requiring the ability to challenge proposed actions and ensure commissioning decisions remain child-centred.

 

As such, a social work qualification is desirable. A detailed and practical understanding of the placements & commissioning process and how it dovetails with social work practice is however essential for this post.

You must be confident in rapidly assessing information, determining information sufficiency and be comfortable in your ability to make multiple, proportionate and appropriate decisions.

 

The role requires the post-holder to demonstrate confidence in decision-making, an eye for detail and the ability to deliver to deadlines whilst under pressure.  The ideal candidate will have a collaborative approach and the ability to work at all levels with social work teams and providers.
