About the team

Come and work for a rewarding organisation where you will be joining our exceptional talent in the Customer Service & Emergency Service Team we are a multi-channel first point of contact for a variety of internal and external customers. The team provides a high quality of service delivery across a diverse range of highway services through various communication channels and digital platforms. This currently includes highway and emergency services, phone, email, web-based enquiries, and social media.

 

About the role

How you’ll help make a difference in your role as a customer service officer is to provide an effective and responsive point of contact for all County Council customers in line with relevant GCC policies and procedures. Customer Service & Emergency Service Officers will also be required to support the delivery of a comprehensive administrative and support function to meet the business needs of the highways service.

 

About you

Firstly, we will rely on your excellent organisational skills to allow you to prioritise workloads and ensure our service levels are maintained. We also need your customer-focused nature to help build working relationships under tight deadlines and targets. To be successful you will need excellent communication and people skills along with ability to highlight and rectify errors quickly and effectively.
