We are currently recruiting for Youth Support Housing Team Manager to join our dedicated Housing team on a fixed term contract for 6 months.

About You

 

Are you passionate about empowering young people and shaping and delivering services? We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic  Housing Team Manager with significant housing expertise to lead our Housing Team that sits within a multidisciplinary service withinChildren's Social Care.  You will be responsible for leading a team in delivering comprehensive services to young people with a specific focus on children leaving care and care leavers.  You will have extensive experience of managing and leading a team.  You will also have extensive housing experience and through understanding of housing legislation.  You will also have experience of leading a team that supports young people to achieve successful housing outcomes.

 

 

 

About the Team

 

You will manage a team of housing workers and housing Leaving Care Personal Advisors (Housing) who support young people transitioning from care and care leavers providing advice and guidance on housing options and homelessness.  The team manage a caseload that supports young people, their families, social workers and other professionals and practitioners to understand housing options, pathways and legislation.  They also provide information, induction and training to colleagues within Children's Services on all aspects of housing and homelessness.  They attend meetings relating to the young person, multi-agency meetings, networking events, housing forums and partnership events and meetings to represent the team/service and advocate for the young people we support.

 

 

As well as your experience, the post holder will require the following to be successfully appointed to this post:

  • a full driving licence and willingness to drive
  • DBS clearance (Enhanced Adults and Children’s)
