Are you looking for a new and exciting opportunity working in Social Care?
We have a full time Visiting Officer position in our Adult Support Services - Financial Assessments and Benefits (FAB) Team, this is offered on a 1 year fixed term contract.
Our role is an important part of supporting the care sector as we work with people receiving a service and their families to ensure they are fairly assessed and pay what is needed for the care they and their loved ones receive. As a Visiting Officer you will undertake financial assessments regarding people paying towards the costs of their Social Care. You will visit our customers or their financial representatives in their own homes or care settings in order to provide advice and assistance to help maximise their Welfare Benefit entitlement and to conduct financial assessments.
We are looking for enthusiastic people with varying experience and knowledge across Adult Social Care. Do you have transferable skills that you can bring to the role? Full training will be provided for our successful candidates.

About you
- We are looking for people who are professionally curious and can maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- You should have financial experience with the ability to complete complex calculations. You will have an up to date working knowledge of the benefits available to the residents of Gloucestershire.
- You will be a confident communicator and should be self-motivated, pragmatic and resilient. We also want people who can be flexible and adaptable in their practice.
- You will have the ability to travel throughout the county and carry out appointments with vulnerable adults.
