About The Team & Role

 

This is an exciting time for a talented, self-driven professional to join our team at Gloucestershire County council. You will be responsible for leading the development, planning, management and delivery of projects to address the council’s ULEV (Ultra Low Emission Vehicle) strategy and to support transport decarbonisation in Gloucestershire, to help deliver the council’s climate action plan and ambition to reduce our emissions by 80% by 2030.

 

This role will offer you the opportunity to operate in a varied and fast paced environment, you will use your existing knowledge to develop complex infrastructure  projects, managing the ULEV EV Charging Programme, the development of the business case, working on the procurement of the delivery model and managing the rollout of the charge points on site to support some of the most significant and ambitious service initiatives.

 

About You

 

We are looking for an experienced manager who can demonstrate the ability to successfully develop and deliver complex projects with a strong interest in programmes that address climate change. You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain successful working relationships, providing valuable advice and negotiations with both internal and external stakeholders and will have previous experience on delivering on-street charging infrastructure in the public environment.

 

As the ULEV Programme Manager you will use your industry experience of low and zero emission vehicle technologies to manage expectations, effectively challenge and drive change in services.

    • To be considered for this role, it is essential that you hold a current, full driving license valid for driving in the UK. This requirement highlights the hands-on nature of the position, as you will be required travel within the County to manage a programme of projects to transform ULEV uptake across Gloucestershire, proactively engaging council services, communities, elected members, public sector partners, businesses, government and electricity network operators.
