Take the lead in traffic and collision data management to provide crucial evidence-based support for improvements to Gloucestershire’s road network for safety, active travel and traffic flows.

 

About The Team & Role

 

You will be responsible for providing the direction and management of the Traffic and Collision Data team and its data to successfully deliver an excellent service for teams in Gloucestershire County Council as well as external clients including the Gloucestershire Road Safety Partnership.

 

You will line manage and direct the day-to-day work of the Traffic and Collision Data Team and provide specialist guidance and ensure staff development.

 

You will effectively manage the traffic and collision data assets and promote ongoing innovative development. You will manage contracts for specialist traffic/collision data software.

 

You will provide specialist advice and guidance on all traffic/collision data matters and ensure compliance to the relevant standards of data use and provision.

 

You will ensure the analysis and provision of collision data for the prioritisation of highway projects to improve road safety.

About You: 

 

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with experience and expert knowledge in data analysis and accurate reporting. You should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

 

You will have experience of supervising staff to achieve completion of tasks. You will be able to prioritise your work and others to ensure delivery of service requirements.

 

You will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

 

You will have experience in managing budgets.

 

You will be a team player, eager to share responsibilities, skills, and ideas, and able to work respectfully and effectively with others, even in challenging environments.

 

You will be able to use Microsoft Office including for example Word and Excel and specialist data software.
