You will lead a team that will implement projects with the objective of significantly reducing the number of serious and fatally injured people and provide greater infrastructure for walking and cycling enhancing quality of life.

 

About The Team & Role:

As the Traffic Engineering Team Manager, you will be at the helm of a dynamic team, providing project management, engineering design, and contract management services. Your leadership will drive programme delivery and the continual improvement of our services, leveraging the use of up-to-date standards and technology, innovative thinking, and lessons learned.

 

The role involves fostering a motivated team focused on well-being and professional development, delivering a high-quality service and maintaining excellent working relationships with GCC colleagues, elected members and other stakeholders.

 

You will oversee the delivery of a programme of traffic engineering schemes that promote road safety, sustainability, and innovation. meeting financial targets. This role is an opportunity to make a significant positive impact on highway infrastructure, to meet corporate objectives for safe and sustainable travel.

About You:

You will have experience in managing a team and significant experience in highway design engineering and contract management including using NEC contracts, in the delivery of projects that improve road safety, walking, cycling and other sustainable means of transport.

 

You will excel in managing multiple task and priorities and guiding a team to deliver on its objectives. You will have experience in managing multiple budgets. You will be able to thrive in high-pressure environments to meet quality, cost and time targets.

 

You will have a commitment to health and safety and be experienced in the application of the CDM Regulations 2015. You will have an understanding on the impact of traffic on environmental issues. Be adept at stakeholder engagement, knowledgeable in construction regulations.
