Gloucestershire County Council is looking for an experienced and dynamic Team Manager to join our Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) team. About the role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Manager to lead our DoLS team. As the Team Manager, you will play a crucial role in upholding the rights of adults at risk of being deprived of their liberty, ensuring that our service meets statutory requirements and maximises the capacity to complete assessments. You will provide effective leadership and management, driving service improvements and ensuring robust outcomes for adults with care and support needs.
About us:
At Gloucestershire County Council, our Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) team is dedicated to ensuring the rights of adults who lack the capacity to consent to their care arrangements are upheld. Our team of qualified Best Interests Assessors conduct assessments in care homes and hospitals across the county, ensuring that these arrangements are in the best interests of the individuals involved.
About you:
You will be a qualified Best Interests Assessor or have a registered professional qualification, along with significant experience working within a social care framework.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Line management experience
- Working knowledge of policies, processes and relevant legislation appropriate to this post
- An ability to translate vision and strategy into practical work
- Experience of effective working within and across agencies and organisations
- Experience of dealing with complaints
- Experience of influencing change
