About the team and the role

As a natural leader, you will be joining and leading our exceptional talented Highways Stakeholder & Engagement Team, which is a multi-channel, first point of contact service for a variety of internal and external customers. We provide a high quality of service delivery across a diverse range of services on behalf of Gloucestershire County Council Highways, across a centralised service area and across four (4) separate regional management areas. The service is provided through various channels both traditional and contemporary. The channels currently include Stakeholder, Engagement, Social Media and Communications, using face to face, phone, email, web-based enquiries and social media etc. Developments in technology will continue to underpin the work of the Service
 

How you’ll help make a difference…

 In your role of Manager/Team Leader you will be leading our exceptionally talented team and support the Manager for Key Partner – Relationship Management, Programme-Coordination, Stakeholder Management and Highways Customer and Emergency Services; you will lead and manage the team within the Highways Commissioning group, ensuring we deliver an efficient, accurate and consistent level of Highways Stakeholder Management & Engagement Services to all contacts dealt with both internally and externally including the range of key stakeholders, ensuring that appropriate service delivery standards and procedures are implemented and maintained.

 

You will also assist in the development of and then maintain several Service Level Agreements across the Highways Commissioning Client Services portfolio.

About You

As set out in the job profile, we will rely on your excellent leadership and organisational skills to ensure our service levels are maintained. We also need your customer-focused nature to help build working relationships across our organisation working with key stakeholders both internal and external, as well as our senior leadership, key partners all whilst working under tight deadlines and targets within an environment that requires understanding and ability to operate around political factors. To be successful you will need excellent social media and communication and people skills along with ability to ensure we deliver an efficient, accurate and consistent level of service.
