About the Team and Role: 

An exciting opportunity has become available to work in the Specialist Commissioning Team for Children and Young People with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The team makes a significant and positive impact on the lives of Children and Young People and their families. By working directly with schools and various professionals, you can contribute to ensuring that Children and Young People receive appropriate support and opportunities for their development and learning. 

 

Being part of the Specialist Commissioning Team gives you the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, such as educators, social workers, healthcare professionals and policy makers. This interdisciplinary approach fosters a stimulating work environment, enabling you to gain valuable insights, share expertise, and develop your own professional network. 

The overall purpose of this role is to develop, deliver and quality assure SEND provision in mainstream schools.  

 

About You: 

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a proven track record in leadership and management. You will also have experience of managing statutory and non-statutory agreed processes with an excellent knowledge of the SEN sector. You will bring experience of multi-agency working across health, social care and education. You will be professionally curious and value working collaboratively as a team to share good practice.
