About the Team & Role 

 

Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service (GFRS) is looking for an individual, who is passionate and committed to the transformational journey to support the improvement of local Community Safety arrangements and outcomes for children, adults for the Communities for Gloucestershire.  

 

As the Prevention Safeguarding Assistant, you will work alongside the Community Safety Team and Prevention Station Manager. You will support these with administration duties, accurate record keeping and assist in the quality assurance and evaluation of our work with the aim of continually enhancing Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service’s approach to Community Safety. You will have particular responsibility for monitoring the Safe and Well and safeguarding referral system, ensuring that all appropriate processes are followed. 

 

You will need to have a compassionate and understanding telephone manner as our department regularly supports our most vulnerable members of the Community.

 

This position is permanent. 

 

About You 

To be successful you will need experience in delivering high level administrative support in a public facing environment where excellent customer service and communication skills with a range of stakeholders are essential. 

 

The ideal candidate will be able to produce and prepare information to internal and external customers whilst adhering to safeguarding policy and communicating processes to the workforce.

 

 In addition to the above listed criteria, the successful candidate must meet the following requirements: 

  • Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience
  • 5 GCSE’s including English and Maths at Grade C or above 
  • Evidence of continuous personal and professional development 
  • Full UK Driving License 
  • This post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check including barred list check
