We are currently recruiting for a full time Senior Family Support Worker within the Families First Early Help team on a fixed term basis until the end of March 2025.

About us

 

The Families First Targeted Family Support Team deliver support to families presenting multiple and complex needs. In the Forest of Dean we have a team of individuals from all walks of life with a range of skills and experience that we use to deliver high level early help interventions.

 

About the role

 

As a Senior Family Support worker your key responsibilities will be around line management of Family Support Workers, practice development and quality assurance with a focus on improving and developing service delivery.  This will include line management of staff and managing issues which arise on a day-to-day basis, identifying and delivering training.

 

You will be supporting Family Support Workers to build supportive and empowering relationships with families and helping them to engage parents through creative and innovative strategies, in line with partner agencies and organisations.

About you

 

As a Senior Family Support Worker within the Early Help team, you will be joining an experienced, supportive and child focused team, who are committed to delivering the best outcomes for children.

 

We are looking for someone with experience of working with children, young people, families, and communities to deliver a wide range of interventions.

 

Experience of working with multi-agency assessments and plans is also a must. 

 

The role of a Senior Family Support Worker requires you to work flexibly and may include working evenings and weekends.

 

As well as your experience, there are some things we require of you to be successfully appointed to this post:

  • a full driving licence and willingness to drive
  • DBS clearance
