The ICT Security Team is looking for a Security Administrator with the skills and experience to ensure the secure operations of computer systems, networks, and data within the organisation. This role involves implementing, maintaining, and overseeing security measures to protect the company's digital assets from unauthorised access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, or destruction.
About the ICT Security Team:
The Security Team sits within the Digital and ICT Service and is responsible for making sure the Council meets its security responsibilities. These include ensuring:
- Best practice use of security tools and software
- Secure configuration of networks and systems
- Identification and remediation of system vulnerabilities and cyber risks
- Monitoring for indicators of compromise
- Effective response to security incidents and alerts
The Role:
The preferred candidate will have experience of working within a Local Government ICT security environment, using their skills and knowledge to manage and respond to security threats, and to provide specialist support to the wider Digital and ICT Service regarding a full range of security activities. In addition to having expertise in using Microsoft security tooling, good organisation and communication skills are vital.
Full training and support will be provided as required.
