SENDIASS Gloucestershire (Special Educational Needs and Disability Information Advice and Support Service) is recruiting!
Part-time SENDIASS Adviser post (0.5 fte) – Grade 8
An exciting opportunity is available to join this growing team of friendly and well-respected professionals who are committed to ensuring parent carers and young people with SEND have their voices heard and receive accurate and helpful information and advice.
How you'll make a difference
SENDIASS Gloucestershire is a specialist service offering free, impartial, confidential information, advice and support on matters around SEND. The Service is offered to parent carers of children with SEND (0-25 years) and young people aged between 16 and 25 years old to help them play an active and informed role in supporting their child or the young person’s education.
What we're looking for
We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and self-motivated people to join our team of Advisers. These roles involve directly working with parent carers to provide impartial information, advice and support in relation to their child with SEND.
The Service covers Gloucestershire and works in partnership with parent carers and young people, Gloucestershire Parent Carer Forum, Gloucestershire County Council, ICB, educational settings and other key agencies working with children and young people up to the age of 25.
The successful applicants will have experience of engaging and working with parent carers and fully aware of the challenges that parent carers face.
Knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice is essential.

Please note: The successful applicants will be required to complete the IPSEA Level 1 Legal Training as part of the role and work towards IPSEA Level 3, ideally within 12 months of starting the role.
