About the team & role
Gloucestershire County Council is looking to recruit a Roadspace Coordinator, you will be joining a dynamic team that delivers Streetworks management for the businesses and residents of the County.
You will be working within Streetworks Team who manage and control roadspace booking and the management of utility excavations throughout the county The team has three distinct work areas; Roadspace booking, Inspection and Compliance.
As a Roadspace Coordinator you will be required to manage all roadworks activities and utility works both during the delivery of the works and after the work is completed, should any issues arise. You will be responsible for coordinating all activities including special events within a defined area. You will play a vital role in keeping the traffic moving and the public safe throughout our county. The role will involve a mixture of office and home working, a full driving licence is essential.
About you
We are looking for someone with excellent communication and organisational skills. Your track record of building relationships and exceptional interpersonal skills will contribute to fostering a positive working relationship with people at all levels within the council, the public and contractors. This work is challenging,and your calm nature will be advantageous in this position and support you in negotiations.
