An exciting opportunity had arisen to join the Relational and Restorative Practice team. We are looking to recruit 2 coordinators, to successfully implement the PINS project (Partnerships for Inclusion of Neurodiversity in Schools). This is a multi-agency approach, working alongside schools and parents, to improve the support for neurodiverse pupils in mainstream Primary Schools. The project aims to strengthen partnerships between parents, carers and schools; enhance awareness of support available, and ensure schools are confident to meet the needs of their neurodiverse pupils.

As part of an innovative and passionate team, you wil be supported to find creative ways to approach this brand new project, and contribute to the delivery of its outcomes. Co-creating a model of training and implementation with schools, parents and carers, you will be responsible for working in collaboration with a number of stakeholders across the county.

The Relational and Restorative Practice team have been established for 8 years in Gloucestershire, and we are working across a number of schools to embed the Relational Schools programme. We are also working with staff within GCC, to embed a relational and restorative approach, ensuring consistency of language and understanding. We have been recognised as an example of good practice within the field nationally, and are supporting other local authorities to embed our programme across their education systems. As a team we are dedicated to ensuring education environments are nurturing and inclusive, and we take every opportunity to showcase our research and evidence across the UK, and internationally.

We are a learning team and encourage continuous personal and professional development, with a variety of career enhancing opportunities available. You will be well looked after by your manager, with monthly wellbeing supervisions as well as task related supervisions, and access to a number of services to further support your wellbeing.

The role is offered initially as a fixed term position, with the option of a secondment for internal candidates. You are encouraged to have an informal conversation with the recruiting manager before applying, to learn more about the project and the team, and how they work in a relational and restorative way.

In return we will offer you:

  • Regular formal and informal support.
  • Safe, supportive, and positive working environment with regular, robust supervision.
  • Access to relevant training and career progression.
  • Annual leave of 25.5 days (pro rata) up to 30.5 days (pro rata) after 5 years employment.
  • Access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.
  • Staff discount scheme that offers access to great savings including discounts with major supermarket chains and high street retailers.
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) that provides free, confidential, counselling and advice for employees, available 24 hours a day, online and by telephone.
  • Cycle to Work scheme.
  • Links to employee networks such as Prism (LGBT+) network and the Young Employees Network.
  • Gloucestershire Salary Sacrifice Green Car Scheme (T&C's apply).
