About the role

We have a Rehabilitation Assistant position available in a multi-disciplinary team within our Rehabilitation Services. Our centre at Great Western Court in Gloucester is designed to support individuals with all aspects of their rehabilitation and care programs following either a discharge from hospital or admittance from the community. We provide 24-hour care for planned, unplanned and emergency stays. In this highly rewarding role, you’ll create a positive, caring and stimulating environment that meets every resident’s needs.

The goal is to make sure residents enjoy fulfilling and dignified lives – and you will play a big part in that. You will contribute to promoting the independence and reablement of the people we care for in day-to-day activities, each of which will have an outcome focused care plan to meet identified needs.

You’ll join us on a shift basis, which will include weekend working as required. We are happy to discuss your requirements around weekend working at interview. You will be eligible to claim for enhanced payments for working evenings, weekends and bank holidays. You should also be flexible to help out at other locations if required.

This is an interesting and varied role within an established and supportive team, making a difference to people in Gloucestershire.

Our Services are continuously evolving, and as such, this role and related responsibilities may be subject to minor change. Please email ASCrecruitment@gloucestershire.gov.uk to arrange an informal discussion.

About you

You will have experience of working in a care setting and helping individuals with personal care, monitoring of progress of the people we care for within the setting and contributing to the ongoing assessment of their needs with the multi-disciplinary team.

You will also have experience of recording and updating of care plans. Practical and positive, with every opportunity to learn, you’ll also be keen to develop and take our service from strength to strength.

Our values are at the heart of everything we do and how we treat each other. They provide essential guiding principles about the way that we work and set the tone for our culture, and identify what we, as an organisation, care about.

If you hold the same behaviours and approach, then we want to hear from you! In exchange, we will provide you with full training and support to help you succeed in your role.
