About the Role

The Council's Highways Commercial Team has a vacancy for a Project Manager to oversee the Highways and Transport Capital programme. This is currently the most senior position in the team, and the successful candidate will play a leading role in the delivery of our Capital Projects across a range of areas including Structural Maintenance, Infrastructure and range of Transport schemes. The post holder will be accountable to Senior Management and will be required to operate, maintain and improve performance reporting/forecasting across the range of projects.

 

About The Team
The Council's Highways Commercial Team supports the operation of the Term Maintenance, Professional Services, Structural Maintenance and Street Lighting contracts. We are also involved in supporting Major Projects and play a key part in systems development and continuous improvement of our Assets and Customer Management Systems and our Forecasting models.

About You
We are looking for an experienced individual who is solution-focused, commercially aware, with strong organisational, numeracy and communications skills,  and the ability to prioritise workloads/reporting in a fast-paced environment. You must have a keen eye for detail and have experience of working with project managers and reporting directly to senior managers overseeing a capital (or similar) programme.
