About The Role

This is a chance to deliver high quality Internal Audit assurance across a diverse range of activities and services within our Audit, Risk and Assurance Shared Service (ARA) partner organisations.

 

 

We are looking to recruit a Principal Auditor (Internal Audit) who is self-motivated with a positive, flexible approach and willingness to contribute towards our excellent reputation for providing respected audit, risk and assurance activity.

 

 

 

About You

The successful candidate will be the lead point of contact for an audit portfolio within the Shared Service. Responsibilities would include undertaking high level assignments into complex and high risk areas, as well as being an activity manager for risk based reviews. The post will also have line management responsibilities. 

 

 

Ideally you will hold a professional qualification (such as CCAB or IIA) and be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of delivering and leading on risk based internal audits. Full understanding of the principles of Internal Audit and Risk Management are required. The successful candidate will be able to manage their allocated workload and meet deadlines and targets with minimum supervision. Strong communication, negotiating and influencing skills are essential, as you will have exposure to Members, senior officers and stakeholders within our partners.  You will have experience of successfully managing others and their work. You will be able to motivate and mentor colleagues to achieve outcomes.
