About the Team and Role
Come and work for a rewarding employer. Gloucestershire County Council has a vacancy for a procurement manager to join the dynamic and busy Parking Services Team.
The Parking Services Team is responsible for on and some off street parking, bus lane and moving traffic enforcement in the county and plays a pivotal role in ensuring that Gloucestershire’s highways are free flowing and safe.
You will be responsible for delivering all procurement requirements within the team as well as supporting other Traffic and Transport related procurement projects in a wider team. These procurements range from low value arrangements to higher value multi million pound contracts and consist of a range of services such as enforcement agents, automatic numberplate recognition, road safety equipment, parking enforcement and digital mapping.
Report writing, including writing business cases and cabinet reports, is a requirement of the role and it is expected that the successful candidate will become a council contract management champion.
About You
To be successful you will need to have knowledge and experience of delivering contracts within the public sector procurement. You will also need to be well organised and able to manage a number of different projects at the same time and prioritise work to ensure that deadlines are met.
Experience of delivering transport and highway related contracts would be beneficial but it is not an essential requirement.
