About the team

The Council’s shared service centre has two part time Payroll Administrator vacancies in the Pay & Conditions Team (GCC/External Clients).

 

About the role

Positions are on a permanent basis, both 18.5 hours per week however we will also consider combining the positions to create one full time appointment of 37 hours per week.

One of the roles will be to support the pension payrolls which will involve dealing with tax and pay queries from pensioners and to have an understanding of the pension payroll processes, for example power of attorney, probate and indemnity payments, to ensure compliance regarding the pension regulations.

 

About you

We are looking to recruit an administrator who will be able to provide a payroll service for Gloucestershire County Council and a number of external clients, working within the Pay & Conditions Team.  The successful applicant will be involved with the processing of payroll payments, dealing with pay queries via our ContactUs helpline, providing guidance on employment terms & conditions and checking information to ensure our payrolls are accurate, meet statutory requirements and processed within the monthly deadlines.

 

This post will require full NPPV (Non Police Personnel) Level 2 security clearance in order for probation to be passed and a permanent job offer confirmed.
