About The Team & Role
While a member of the team is on maternity leave, we are looking to appoint a Multi-Agency Forum Co-ordinator (MAFCo) on a full time, fixed term (12 month) basis to join the Multi-Agency Support Service (MASS). The post holder will focus on our statutory duty under Section 19 of the Education Act 1996, and our Education Fora (TALC & Intervention Circle). As part of the wider Multi-Agency Support Service, you will work alongside an experienced and growing partnership facing team, and benefit from developed relationships with internal colleagues and external partners who share the ambition of improving outcomes for children and families living in Gloucestershire.
The role is an opportunity to utilise your experience, working with, learning from, and influencing partners across Education, Health, Care and the voluntary sector on a daily basis. Please see attached the Job Description/ Person Specification for full details of the role, however core responsibilities will include:
- Receiving and triaging requests for support from school colleagues.
- Supporting/ leading weekly multi-agency, Education facing meetings.
- Managing enquiries and sharing updates with school colleagues and wider partners.
- Ensuring children are signposted to support from the right agency at the right time.
- Reviewing the progress for children discussed in our fora, advocating for their right to an appropriate education at all times.
About You
The successful applicant will have the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a broad selection of stakeholders across organisational boundaries. An organised and methodical approach to tasks will be imperative but must be complemented in equal measure by an ability to think outside of the box when creative solutions are needed to achieve the best outcomes for Children/ Young People and Families.

Hybrid working arrangements are possible, but there will be a requirement for the post holder to work from the Office in Cheltenham for a minimum of two days a week.
