About The Role

Come and work in an integral role within the County’s Library service, managing five community-focused libraries in Hucclecote, Longlevens, Matson, Quedgeley and Tuffley. You will ensure the day-to-day running of the libraries, and leading and developing a skilled team of Library Assistants to deliver a high-quality service to all customers and partners.  A focus on delivering an excellent user experience is essential, along with supervisory and organisational skills. You will work closely with partners and within the local communities to deliver and support a varied range of activities and events.

As Library Manager, you will oversee daily operations, staff deployment and service delivery across all five libraries, managing multiple priorities and working effectively under pressure. You’ll also bring a focus on meeting deadlines and a proven track record of meeting compliance, e.g. buildings, health & safety and data collection. This role requires the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment with constantly changing priorities. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate resilience to effectively handle challenges and obstacles.
