About The Team & Role
An exciting opportunity for skilled highway professionals to join a busy Highways Development Management team.
As a Clerk of Works in Gloucestershire County Council’s Highways Development Management team, you’ll take on an important role undertaking site inspections under sections 38, 184 and 278 of the Highways Act (1980) across Gloucestershire to ensure developer led infrastructure is constructed to the highest standards. You will be liaising with developers and contractors along with councillors, members of the public and Gloucestershire County Council colleagues.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have extensive knowledge of specifications and standards relating to the highway and construction sector along with experience of the on-site delivery of highway improvement schemes. You will be capable of working independently and possess strong technical and engineering acumen. You will be personable and professional, with a proven track record of providing robust technical solutions to complex engineering problems. You will bring your problem-solving skills and customer-focused nature to a talented team delivering a crucial service.
You will be proactive and committed to your professional development within civil engineering and, more specifically, highways development management.
