You will gain exposure to a diverse range of work streams including employee relations, change management, pay and reward, and HR policy work, within our busy HR and OD teams based at Shire Hall in Gloucester. This role will work with schools and academies across Gloucestershire to support them with a wide range of HR areas, such as change management and employee relations.

The role is term time only (42 weeks per year). The expectation is that the ten non-working weeks will be the two-week Easter break, the two-week Christmas break, and the six-week summer break. Every member of our team plays an important part in supporting and coaching leaders and managers in the delivery of positive business focussed outcomes, as well as supporting our HR advice service and developing online support resources.

We are proud of our track record in developing our team and this is an excellent opportunity to work in a commercially focussed and supportive environment, contributing to a wide range of diverse community services including social care, education and Gloucestershire’s fire and rescue service, to name but a few.

About You

We also need your customer-focused nature to help build working relationships with key stakeholders. Previous experience of advising managers in areas including change management, performance improvement, absence management, discipline and grievance is essential.

Hybrid working arrangements are available for many of our roles, giving teams the opportunity to work in a way that suits them, balancing service need and individual choice, with a mix of both remote and office working.

For all your hard work, you will receive the following:
