About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Adviser with a demonstratable in Local Government Pay and Reward. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to strategic HR projects and deliver significant value across a varied workforce. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and supporting pay and reward initiatives that align with organisational objectives and industry best practice.
- Developing, reviewing, and implementing HR policies to ensure legal compliance and operational efficiency.
- Managing consultation processes with stakeholders such as trade unions and employee groups.
- Providing expert guidance on employment terms and conditions, encompassing frameworks including Soulbury, Teachers, Green Book, and Grey Book.
- Ensuring that HR procedures comply with current employment legislation and sector-specific guidance.
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure robust, consistent, and fair HR solutions organisation-wide.
This is a career grade position; your starting salary will be determined by relevant experience and qualifications.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need proven experience in Local Government HR, with a particular focus on pay and reward initiatives and practices. A strong track record in policy development and consultation is essential, as is an in-depth understanding of employment frameworks such as Soulbury, Teachers, Green Book, and Grey Book. You should possess up-to-date knowledge of employment law and HR best practice, alongside excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. The ability to manage complex projects and deliver results in a dynamic environment is also vital.
