Exciting New Opportunity in the Adults Safeguarding Team!
We have an exciting new role in the Adults Safeguarding Team supporting the operation of the Gloucestershire Safeguarding Adults Board (GSAB). The Board plays a crucial role in ensuring agencies collaborate to protect adults in Gloucestershire from abuse and neglect. This new role will support the Board, ensuring it operates effectively and follows relevant legislation, statutory guidance, and best practice.
About the role:
The GSAB Support Officer role will work closely with the GSAB Business Manager to develop and deliver key products and initiatives required by the Board.
The role will involve:
- Supporting the development of policy and practice through the work of the GSAB sub-groups and partnerships.
- Leading on the collection, presentation and analysis of Adult Safeguarding performance data.
- Supporting the delivery of statutory, strategic and assurance functions.
- Attending GSAB meetings and taking accurate meeting minutes.
- Building relationships and engagement with stakeholders and partners.
- Reviewing and updating the GSAB website.
- Supporting the Business Manager in developing and publishing the GSAB Annual Report and other documents.
The role is based at Shire Hall in Gloucester where we offer agile working which includes working from home combined with time in the office. We provide free off-site car parking.

About you:

The ideal candidate will have experience of:
- Working with Safeguarding Adults activity.
- Knowledge of Safeguarding Adults legislation and working practice.
- Working with stakeholders and partners.
- Interpreting and presenting performance data.
- Report writing and presentation.
- Minuting meetings.
- Working in areas where policy and legislation are subject to change.
- Council processes and structures.
- Working within a performance framework.
The position will suit an individual who enjoys a fast pace, has a positive ‘can do’ attitude and uses their initiative.
