About The Role

 

Gloucestershire Music is seeking a highly skilled and passionate ensemble leader to join the Forest of Dean Area Wind Band. Currently, this runs as a community wind band, but we are hoping to expand this into a Music Centre. You will be responsible for the planning and running of the Forest of Dean Area Wind Band which meets on Saturday mornings during term-time. Whilst some administrative tasks are required within the role, your primary focus will be on leading high-quality sessions for the band which is aimed at musicians of all ages, both adult and youth, fostering a love for music and helping students develop their musical interests.

The min/max salary in this advert is the full time equivalent monthly pay rate for the grade associated on the Local Government Scheme pay scale.  This role is term time only, for 30 weeks over each academic year.  For better illustration the rate for this role (including preparation time and annual leave allowance) is £2240.61.10 - £2531.10 per annum or £186.72 - £210.92 per month (annual pay is spread over 12 months).

 

The number of hours available is 2hrs and 15mins (with added preparation time) per week, for 30 weeks a year.
