About The Role

Gloucestershire Music is seeking highly skilled and passionate instrumental and vocal tutors to join their contracted team. As a tutor, you will be responsible for the planning and delivery of Whole Class Ensemble Teaching and paired or individual lessons through the GM Peripatetic Service. Whilst some administrative tasks are required within the role, your primary focus will be on teaching high quality lessons in schools across the county, fostering a love for music, and helping young people develop their musical interests.  Please see job profile for full details of role.

 

 

About You

Applications are welcome from all instrumental specialisms with particular interest for teachers of brass, strings, voice and piano.

 

The min/max salary in this advert is the full time equivilent monthly pay rate for the grade associated on the Local Government Scheme pay scale.  This role is for term time only, for 30 weeks over each academic year.  For better illustration the hourly rate for whole class ensemble teaching is £33.19 (min) - £37.50 (max), which includes 20 minutes prepration and annual leave allowance.  Annual pay is spread over 12 months and tutors can claim mileage at 0.45p per mile.

 

 

The number of hours available for each instrumental specialism will be confirmed when you attend interview and can be negotiatable within the constraints of the buy in from schools and the geographical reach the successful candidate is prepared to travel.
