We are currently recruiting for a Team Manager to join our Kinship Assessment team on a permanent basis.

About the team
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic, supportive, friendly team currently based in the centre of Gloucester. The Kinship Assessment Team work together towards the common goal of ensuring children have safe, caring placements where permanency can be secured within children’s own extended families or with those known to them.
About you
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Team Manager or Deputy Team Manager who can help lead and shape the team and is ready to take the next step.
You will need to be passionate about getting the best outcomes for children, be able to give attention to detail, to deal with competing demands and priorities and be able to influence others and embed good practice.
Your role will involve allocating work, supervising and support staff as well as quality-assuring team members’ work and monitoring data.
If, like us, you are committed to doing what is right for children and ideally have experience of supervising others, child protection and court skills, we would be pleased to hear from you.
This is an excellent chance to learn and develop personally and professionally and to be involved with taking the service forward.
As well as your experience you will need:
- Social Work England registration
- a recognised qualification in Social Work
- a good knowledge of a range of legislative frameworks covering Fostering and Special Guardianship
- to have passed your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE)
- a full driving licence and willingness to drive.
- DBS clearance
