About the role

The role is involved in a fast-developing frontline service forming part of the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) which sits within the Children and Families Front Door.

The position will involve making direct contact with children, family members and professionals from community services to gain an accurate understanding of a family’s needs.

You will be using Gloucestershire’s Levels of Intervention (LOI) and applying this to information gathered to make recommendations of support at LOI 1, 2 and 3 ensuring the most appropriate response is provided and enabling families to thrive.

Support offered may include providing professional advice/guidance, referring/signposting to community agencies, and/or utilising services within the Early Help Partnership.

We aim to provide first class, customer focussed service; supporting families and practitioners across Gloucestershire to access comprehensive information, advice and guidance about children and young people’s services.

Working within Early Help is an exciting, interesting, and rewarding role. Your aim will be to support decision making to ensure that families access the right support at the right time to achieve better outcomes and reduce the need for higher level support and long-term demand for services.

You will benefit from our commitment to delivering the best possible service to children and families, and the chance to join an experienced and dynamic team. You will be joining an authority with a strong set of values that underpins the work we do: Accountability, Empowerment, Excellence, Integrity and Respect.

About you

We are looking for someone with experience of working with children, young people, families, and communities and experience of working with multi-agency assessments and plans.

You must have excellent communication skills and be able to process and record information accurately within a busy fast paced team.

As well as your experience supporting children and families you will need an NVQ level 3 qualification in Advice or Guidance or equivalent or relevant experience and willingness to improve knowledge base.
