The Adults Transformation Team has an exciting new opportunity to make a difference for unpaid Adult Carers!

 

About the role:

The Adult Transformation Team is looking for a full-time Engagement and Participation Officer on 18-month fixed term contract.  

This new role will be pivotal in leading research and engagement activities with individuals who use our services, to ensure their voices are heard and used to drive improvements in experiences and outcomes.  Part of the Adults Transformation Team, working on  key projects, part of the Accelerating Reform Fund programme -SCIE (please, read more here) to support unpaid Adult Carers as we:

 

  1. Create a digital Self-Assessment tool for Carers
  2. Improve Information, Advice & Guidance
  3. Develop a consistent approach to collecting feedback throughout the ASC journey that people experience
  4. Develop and improve our Hospital Pathway Support Model

 

The successful person will focus on research and engagement plans and activities to feed into these projects, ensuring successful delivery of outcomes.

 

This is an agile working role (office, home, and countywide travel) potentially occasionally evenings and weekends.

 

About The Team:

Adults Transformation Team Includes a variety of roles including Programme Managers, Project Managers, Change Leads and Business Analysts.  We are on a mission to improve the experiences of the Cared for and Unpaid Carers across Adult Social Care.

 

This set of projects also involves working alongside the Adult Carers Commissioning Team who support unpaid carers by managing and working with the Gloucestershire Carers Hub to increase identification, engagement and support to carers. The team work closely with the Carers Partnership Board on key priorities. Read more about our key priorities.

 

About you:

You will be:

  • Experienced in designing, organising, and delivering research and engagement plans and activities to identify the needs of customers/individuals/unpaid Adult Carers.  Asking what would help unpaid Adult Carers and those that they care for, to achieve a good balance and quality of life.
  • At your best when building relationships with a diverse range of people, being inclusive and putting people at ease. 
  • Intuitive to tailoring your approach to build trust and rapport.
  • You’ll unlock feedback to identify the root cause of challenges and understand what matters most. 
  • Able to help answers to big questions, solve and overcome problems.
  • You’ll be experienced in a variety of methods for research, analysis, and evaluation.  Synthesising results into impactful stories to influence change.
  • Be part of shaping the future and delivering change to help us improve how we meet the needs of Adult Unpaid Carers and those that they care for.

Flexible with a can-do attitude, customer-focused with excellent communication, organisation, and administration skills to plan, coordinate and run engagement sessions to provide a comprehensive picture of the needs of our unpaid adult carers in Gloucestershire.
