As an Employer Adviser with Connect to Work, you’ll be the vital link between individuals facing barriers to employment and employers. You’ll build strong partnerships across Gloucestershire, engaging with employers, and provide tailored in-work support to help customers thrive and stay in work for the long term.
About the Role
Gloucestershire Employment and Skills Hub offer a one-stop source of information, advice, guidance and support around employment and skills. Working with a range of partners and employers in localities across Gloucestershire the Hub delivers 1:1 support through a number of programmes for people with barriers to sustaining or retaining work, as well as advice and signposting for any resident looking for help.
As an Employer Adviser, your focus will be on helping individuals not only get into work but stay there. You’ll work closely with employers across Gloucestershire to promote inclusive recruitment and retention practices, while providing tailored in-work support to participants who may be at risk of losing their jobs due to health conditions, disabilities, or other barriers. By building trusted relationships with employers and offering practical guidance, you’ll help create more resilient workplaces and ensure participants have the support they need to succeed long-term. You’ll also champion good practice by connecting employers, sharing success stories, and influencing wider change across sectors.
About You
You’re a creative problem-solver who thrives on making a difference. With a strong understanding of employment policies, welfare services, and recruitment practices, you bring a customer-focused approach to planning and delivery. You’re confident working independently, building relationships with employers, and supporting individuals who face barriers to work, including those at risk of losing their jobs.
Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills help you influence and negotiate effectively at all levels. Whether through professional experience or lived experience, you understand the challenges people face in the workplace and are committed to helping them succeed.
