About The Team & Role 

 

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Digital Communications professional to join Gloucestershire County Council in a rewarding role that acts as one of the voices of the council online. You will be part of Gloucestershire County Council’s Communications Team who work on internal and external communications, working closely with a range of council services and providing knowledge and expertise around digital strategy.

 

About You 

 

You will have experience in digital communications, preferably within a local authority but this is not essential. You will have strong written and communication skills, and a passion for communicating effectively through digital channels. You will be used to creating, scheduling, and managing both organic and paid social media posts, specifically on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn, and will be confident in using analytics to monitor the success of campaigns. You need to be confident taking and directing photography as well as video content. Editing and producing engaging content that gets our messages across in a simple and effective way. You will also have experience in writing website content, as well as editing websites using CMSs and effectively using SEO. You will be confident in creating and managing email campaigns, and up-to-date with the latest accessibility guidance.

Hybrid working is available for this role, with 2 days a week required in our Shire Hall office in Gloucester.
