We are currently recruiting for a part-time Deputy Team Manager to join our Fostering Support team on a 1 year fixed term contract.

About the team

 

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic, supportive, friendly team currently based in the centre of Gloucester. The Fostering Support team work together towards the common goal of ensuring children have safe, caring placements where permanency can be secured within children’s own extended families or with those known to them.

 

About you

 

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Deputy Team Manager, Advanced Practitioner or Senior Social Worker who can help lead and shape the team and is ready to take the next step.

You will support the Team Manager to manage Children’s Social Care within a Performance Management Framework to improve outcomes for children and deliver the council’s plans, priorities and strategies, to achieve maximum effectiveness, efficiency and value for money, consistent with good practiceYou will also help to provide day to day management of the team, provide appropriate support, supervision and performance management to ensure the delivery of high-quality services, the safety and well-being of the staff and effective use of resources.

The role will include auditing, observations, reflective supervision and promoting a culture of continuous professional development.

 

As well as your experience you will need:

  • Social Work England registration
  • a recognised qualification in Social Work
  • a good knowledge of a range of legislative frameworks covering Fostering and Special Guardianship
  • to have passed your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) (if you qualified after 2012)
  • a full driving licence and willingness to drive.
  • DBS clearance
