About the Team & Role 

Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service (GFRS) is looking for an individual, who is passionate and committed to the transformational journey in supporting our Community Safety arrangements for the Communities for Gloucestershire.  

 

As a Community Safety Officer, you will work alongside the Community Safety Team and Prevention Station Manager.  You will support by assisting with the day to day running of the Safe and Well programme, provide resilience to the Safeguarding team, integrate new members into the team with fairness and dignity and be responsible for coordinating the development, implementation, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of community safety initiatives 

 

You will have responsibility for monitoring the Safe and Well database system, including maintaining and inputting requests and other referral pathway information. 

 

Our Fire and Rescue Service is looking for an individual, who can deliver training to partner agencies who undertake risk reduction work on behalf of and in partnership with GFRS and is passionate about increasing the safety and resilience of people in Gloucestershire.    

 

This position is for a fixed term of 12 months. The position is a job share of 3 days (22 hours per week). 

 

 

About You

To be successful you will need experience of working in an environment where excellent customer service and communication skills with a range of stakeholders are essential. The ideal candidate will be able to identify and embrace new methods of work and technology and will have the ability to be self-motivated, determined, enthusiastic and resilient with excellent attention to detail. 

 

In addition to the above listed criteria, the successful candidate must meet the following requirements: 

· Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience 

· Understanding of the Fire & Rescue Service Prevention agenda.  

· Evidence of continuous personal and professional development 

· Full UK Driving License 

· This post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check including barred list check.
