About The Team & Role
Come and join an exceptional communications team that supports all areas of this diverse and varied council. You’ll be helping ensure our stakeholders and customers understand our work and can access our services quickly and easily. You’ll also be involved in celebrating success and protecting our reputation.
We’re looking for a talented digital communications professional to support us while our current post holder is on maternity leave. Digital delivery is a priority for the organisation, so this post is critical for ensuring we continue making great progress in our digital communications.
About You
To be successful you’ll be highly organised, proactive, customer focussed and excellent at building and maintaining positive collaborative relationships. You’ll understand how to communicate a narrative that is easy to understand and the best ways to get messages out digitally to our varied audiences and be an expert in engaging content creation.
You’ll be up to speed on branding and great design as well as the application of it in a public sector setting. You’ll be up to date on digital accessibility criteria and digital delivery through email marketing, social and web. You’ll be great at diffusing negative customer interactions online, excellent at managing a large website and intranet site and brilliant at delivering training. You will also need to be experienced in project managing web projects, managing external suppliers, and meeting project deadlines.
Hybrid working arrangements are available for this role with an average of 2 days a week in the office or on site. This gives our team the opportunity to work in a way that suits them, balancing service need and individual choice, with a mix of both remote and office working.
