Are you passionate about supporting high-quality Adult Social Care services? Gloucestershire County Council is seeking four Commissioning Support Officers to join our dynamic Adult Social Care Commissioning team. This role is a Career Progression opportunity, starting at Grade 4 to 6.  This is an exciting time to join the team as we have recently restructured, and you will be joining us at the start of your new journey.

 

 

About the Role:

In this role, you will play a key part in the end-to-end process of ensuring provider payments are reconciled and paid in a timely manner.

 

You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of ASC providers, monitoring their financial and performance data, and ensuring timely payments and communication to resolve any issues that arise.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • To undertake administrative duties to support the business needs of the Team and the wider service area using, where appropriate, computer-based systems, to ensure that services are maintained effectively, flexibly and in a timely way, to enable the service area and organisation to meet its objectives
  • To provide basic support with financial matters including electronic procurement packages, invoicing and accurate recording of purchases.
  • To facilitate meetings, seminars, forums and workshops. Including booking rooms / venues, sending invites, preparing agendas and providing in-person support as required.
  • To be responsible for the accurate input and monitoring of records and data onto relevant electronic systems
  • Assist with the response to all customer enquiries and requests for data in accordance with corporate standards and agreed guidelines
  • Creation and maintenance of electronic filing and recording systems, including statistics and monitoring as appropriate
  • To respond and deal with queries via telephone, email and in person, providing a high standard of customer care

 

 

As you progress through the grades you will take on more responsibilities, particularly for project work and data and be more self-directed as described in the job profile.

 

About you:

Your experience will include working in a team and having a customer focused attitude.

 

You will be confident in using the telephone for work purposes and accurately inputting data.  To progress or be appointed to the higher grades you will have experience in interpreting customer views; working with management information; producing data in a variety of formats and for the grade 6 you will have project management or finance experience and the ability to analyse data.
